Chavy-Chouet Puligny-Montrachet Permier Cru Les Folatieres is made from 100 percent Chardonnay.

Les Folatières is located in the middle of a steep slope with poor soil where the bedrock can be seen peeking through.
The 50 year old vines benefit from the poor soil and good sun exposure. Les Folatières produces a rich, opulent and lively wine. It is charming when young with notes of yellow fruits and toasted bread, and over time becomes more airy and floral with great intensity.

Ageing in oak barrels for 12 months (20 % new).100% Chardonnay of 50 years of age.
The vineyard measures 0.3 hectare with a plenting density of 10,000 vines per hectare.

"The 2019 Puligny-Montrachet Les Folatières 1er Cru has a strict, focused bouquet of crushed rock, touches of orange blossom and a light licorice aroma developing in the glass. This shows more complexity than the other Pulignys from the domaine. The palate is well balanced with a slightly reduced entry. Good weight and density, although it slams the door shut on the finish. Actually a little Meursault-like on the nutty aftertaste. - Neal Martin"

Chavy-Chouet Puligny-Montrachet Premier Cru Les Champs Gain 2019

Chavy-Chouet Puligny Montrachet Permier Cru Les Champs Gain is made from 100 percent Chardonnay.

The wine is produced from 100% Chardonnay coming from the top of the hills of Puligny-Montrachet. The rocky soil of the steep slopes is rich in limestone. 
Champs-Gain is a fine and subtle wine with fresh and lively citrus notes. Over time, it delicately reveals notes of very ripe yellow fruits.

The vineyard measures 0.3 hectare with a plenting density of 10,000 vines per hectare.
100% Chardonnay of 30 years of age.
Ageing in oak barrels for 12 months (20% new).

"The 2019 Puligny-Montrachet Les Champs Gain 1er Cru, one of the last vines to be picked, even after the reds, has a well-defined bouquet of slate-like aromas, very cool and almost Zen-like in style. The palate is well balanced with a sappy entry and a fine bead of acidity. Taut and focused, if just needing a tad more grip on the finish. It will deserve 2–4 years in bottle.- Neal Martin"

Chavy-Chouet Bourgogne Blanc Femelottes is made form 100 percent Chardonnay.

This is a charming, rich, focused and delightful white. Medium-bodied with a smooth texture, the wine has a fresh backbone of acidity, clean apple and citrus flavors, and an excellent balance. A most refreshing quaff and one that is great value. A delicate, expressive wine of exceptional quality.

Chartron & Trebuchet Puligny-Montrachet 2018

Chartron & Trebuchet Puligny-Montrachet is made from 100 percent Chardonnay.

Golden yellow color with green reflections. Mineral aromas (flint), floral (hawthorn) and milk (butter, warm croissant) that blend elegant with notes of honey and hazelnuts. On the palate, great concentration of aromas. A finish powerful and distinguished.

This Puligny Montrachet is blends elegantly with meat and fish (veal or chicken in white sauce, roasted sea bass, but also foie gras) or grilled shell fish with sauce (shrimp, lobster...). 

Delicious as an aperitif or with mild tasting cheese (camembert, brie, blue, goat, gruyere...).

   

 

Chartron et Trebuchet Chassagne Montrachet Premier Cru Les Embazees 2015

A nose of citrus and candied lemon characterizes the Chassagne-Montrachet 1er Cru "embazees". These flavors appear again on the palate with notes of almond paste, honey and vanilla. An ample and generous wine with a nice mineral finish.

Average age of the vines: 50 years old.

Traditional vinification in French oak barrels with complete malolactic fermentation.

 



 

Product Description

The grapes are harvested from a few different parcels: Les Tremblots; Les Meix, Les Levrons; Corvée des Vignes; and Les Reuchaux. Jean-Louis uses oak sparingly. This wine is aged in oak, 15% of which is new.

Aromas of summer fruit and ripe plums. Good intensity on the palate with a steely focus and a long, intense finish.

Winery: J-L & F Chavy

The Chavy family have lived in Puligny-Montrachet for over 200 years but it was not until 1986, though that Gérard Chavy began estate bottling. Upon the retirement of Gérard in 1998, the brothers Jean-Louis and Alain jointly ran the estate until 2003 when they split it with Jean-Louis creating his own estate in 2004. He now shares most of his parcels with his brother, Alain but he did acquire a parcel of his own in the premier cru Perrières. Total holdings are 7 hectares primarily in PulignyMontrachet. Jean-Louis makes his vines average 35 years old, he keeps a restrained use of French oak on his wines to display the purity of fruit and minerality.
