Product Description
Marquis d'Alesme Margaux is made from 63% Cabernet Sauvignon, 30% Merlot, 5% Petit Verdot and 2% Cabernet Franc.
Deep purple-black colored, it leaps from the glass with vibrant notes of mulberries, black cherries and blackcurrant pastilles, plus suggestions of underbrush, fallen leaves and violets. The medium-bodied palate is lively and refreshing, featuring a light touch of fine-grained tannins and just enough mid-palate red berry flavors, finishing savory.

A don't-miss wine, with wonderfully powerful fruit delivered with class and character. The abundant tannins have a slate-edged grip, and the black cassis and bilberry fruit sit alongside waves of oyster shell, liquorice, sage, and black pepper. The 2020 Marquis d'Alesme is matured in 50% new oak and was bottled a little later than other châteaux. It has a crisp bouquet with redcurrant, white-tipped strawberry, cedar and crushed violet aromas. The palate is medium-bodied with fine and quite saturated tannins, mainly black fruit tinged with spice, smooth in texture with a touch of piquancy toward the finish. It is persistent and it blossoms in the glass. Very fine.

Very inviting, Marquis d’Alesme stands out for its harmony between maturation nuances and ripe fruit notes. Very precise and indulgent, the wine is elegant, dense, and supported by smooth tannins. Grand Cru Classé in 1855, Chateau Marquis d’Alesme contributes in its way to building the history and reputation of Margaux. Its successive owners, well-known for their cosmopolitan culture, helped to develop the estate over the centuries, guided by a love of beauty and the desire to produce a great wine.
Today Nathalie Perrodo continues, with great enthusiasm, to pursue her father’s goals, while bringing a new dynamic to the estate. Alongside Marjolaine Maurice de Coninck, the General Director, she is writing a new chapter in the history of the estate, where the meticulous care that is taken to make a Great Wine is superbly reflected in the tasting experience.
In one of the world’s most prestigious wine-growing areas, the terroir of Marquis d’Alesme offers all the right conditions for achieving the level of excellence necessary for great wines. The soil (gravelly-siliceous, marly-siliceous and clay & limestone), is ideally exposed on natural gentle slopes. The weather is mild thanks to the presence of the nearby Gironde estuary. This unique environment produces a great wine with an exceptionally rich range of flavors.
The Cabernet “family” reigns supreme here, representing 70% of the grape varieties used (63% Cabernet Sauvignon, 5% Petit Verdot, 2% Cabernet Franc). They bring concentration and structure, and comprise the backbone of the wine, while Merlot (30% of the grape varieties) gives a delicate roundness. Elegant and refined, often with a bouquet featuring floral and black fruit notes, the wines of Marquis d’Alesme are richly flavourful, with juicy blackcurrant, blackberry, and blueberry notes alongside well-balanced minerality.

In the search for the purest expression of the identity of Finca Piedra Infinita vineyard, we reached this small plot of 0.73 hectares. Located on its north-east side, it shows the typical facet of Paraje Altamira soil, with large gravels and granite stones covered with calcareous material at a depth of 50 cm.

Silver Oak Alexander Valley Cabernet Sauvignon is made from 95.2% Cabernet Sauvignon, 2.5% Cabernet Franc, 1.9% Merlot, 0.4% Petit Verdot
The Silver Oak Alexander Valley Cabernet Sauvignon 2019 has notes of red cherry, raspberry, blackberry, iris, vanilla and clove. Ruby in color, this elegant wine has great acidity and lift on the mid-palate. Black currant and warm baking spices linger with a deep and fruity finish. It will provide drinking pleasure through 2047 given proper cellaring.

Silver Oak's 2020 releases of Napa and Alexander Valley Cabernets are downright impressive. Tasted four years after the fires, in September of 2024 at the Alexander Valley winery, neither wine showed any sign of the hardened tannic structure or overwrought fruit often associated with the vintage. Instead, these wines remain true to Silver Oak’s signature style, with blackcurrant, fig, and plum fruits layered with white pepper, sweet cedar, and coriander spice. Medium-bodied, with sculpted tannins that persist through the lengthy finish, the Alexander Valley Cabernet in particular retains all the hallmarks of a balanced, inviting, and vibrant Silver Oak red.

Truly gorgeous, fruity, velvety and enjoyable for a full-bodied cabernet. It is rich in blueberries, cherry cream, black cherries and raspberries on the palate, with very smooth, layered tannins and a soothing mouthfeel. So easy to drink now, but it will age well, too.

Argot Le Rayon Vert Chardonnay is made from 100 percent Chardonnay.
"Le Rayon Vert", the phenomenon which occurs as the sun dips below the horizon, and a brilliant green flash occurs when sunlight prisms through Earth's atmosphere. Jules Verne wrote "a green which no artist could ever obtain on his palette”, akin to the ethereal, green halo all truly pedigreed Chardonnays radiate from the glass.
Wafting from the glass like a freshly opened stick of Wrigley's gum. Both intense and vibrant, the full-bodied palate delivers Granny Smith apple and stone fruits; confections of custard and sticky vanilla bean; animated by bursts of spearmint and pine forest.

The 2020 Le Rayon-Vert comes bounding out of the glass with bold notions of lemon meringue pie, fresh apricots, and sea spray, giving way to nuances of struck flint, wet pebbles, and Marcona almonds, plus wafts of lime leaves and mandarin peel. The medium to full-bodied is simply electric, delivering super-intense citrus and mineral layers with a crisp backbone and a very long, chalky finish.

Dark cherry color with purple highlights. Powerful nose and high aromatic diversity of ripe red and black fruits, spicy and balsamic notes, and a roasted finish. Soft and mellow in the mouth with a great fruitiness and length.

Dark ruby to the eye, this wine has a nose of purple fig, aniseed and graphite. Rigorous tannins provide a framework for blackberry, black-cherry, mocha, fennel-bulb and crumbled sage-leaf flavors that evaporate into a red-berry and milk-chocolate finish.

The 2020 Crianza is 90% Tempranillo and 10% Cabernet Sauvignon from Ribera del Duero and was aged for 16 months, 75% in French oak casks and 25% in American oak. Garnet-red in hue. The nose features strawberry, plum, undergrowth, herbs, cedar and vanilla notes. The dry and ample palate shows mild tannins and a velvety oak texture that leads to a long-lasting finish.

Arzuaga Ribera del Duero Reserva is made from 95% Tempranillo, 4% Cabernet Sauvignon and 1% Merlot.
Clean and bright ruby red with purple reflections. Great aromatic intensity, complex and elegant, where the compote of red fruits dominates. The palate is structured with silky, sweet tannins and a lingering finish.
The harvest was done manually at the optimum point of maturity, and carried out separately for each of the more than 20 different plots used to make this wine. After the selection tables, a pre-fermentation maceration at low temperature and subsequent alcoholic fermentation at 28º is carried out, giving way to malolactic fermentation and aging in new French oak barrels for 26 months.
Ideal with red meats (big game), roasted white meat, and blue cheese.
Review:
This deep garnet-colored wine has a nose of black currant, sage leaf and cherry pipe tobacco. It is smooth at first sip and then bold tannins settle in and coat the tongue and gums. Blackberry, raspberry, cocoa powder, crème brûlée and orange zest flavors are accompanied by a note of butterscotch that endures on the palate.

Aged 35 months in oak barrels, the 2020 Reserva comes from Ribera del Duero. Balsamic herbs, mature black fruit, camphor and bay leaf define the profile, while evident oak emerges in the background. Broad on entry, the palate then tightens through gum-coating tannins and a firm mid-palate. For the house style, it still needs more bottle age, though it already hints at the more structured and patient side of Ribera. Worth revisiting in five years.

Avennia Arnaut Syrah is made of 100% Syrah
For our taste, no one grows finer Syrah in the state than Dick Boushey. We named this wine after the Provencal Troubadour Arnaut Daniel, who invented the Sestina poem form, thus creating a connection between our two flagship efforts.
"Deep, dark Syrah notes on the nose, with dark blackberry, blueberry reduction, grilled meat, crushed olive, black licorice, camphor, pen ink, and cracked black pepper. The palate is super concentrated and dense, tightly focused, and deeply complex. Savory blueberry, pan drippings, a hint of orange essence, and hand-rubbed sage come through on the extremely long and nuanced finish. Boushey Vineyard is holy ground for Syrah in Washington. This is yet another wine that will inspire a vinous pilgrimage. Dried herb, smoked meat, iron, and dark fruit aromas lead to full-bodied, saturated, palate-staining dark fruit flavors. The intensity is off the charts – earthshaking, with wave upon wave of dark fruit flavors. There’s plenty of structure around it all. It sticks around for a long, slightly warm finish. Best enjoyed at a cool 62 degrees. Give it a long decant if drinking in the near term.

Dominique Piron Morgon Cote du Py is made from 100 percent Gamay.
The Morgon Cru is based in the heart of Northern Beaujolais. Côte du Py is the heart of Morgon, a little hill of very old blue stone rocks - the oldest soils of Beaujolais (around 430 millions years old), with a typical blue color.
Côte du Py has been known for centuries for being the best terroir of the village, producing long lived wines with strong structure and flavors.
Wines of the Côte du Py are very dark, profound and dense. Classic aromas of red berries, cherry, kirsh. Fruity, structured and mineral in the mouth with graphite flavors and spicy notes of black and white pepper. Wine can age up to 10 years.
Hand picked grapes are sorted manually and destemmed for 50 to 70%. Fermentation starts in concrete tanks and lasts for 18-25 days with remontages and pigeages. Then after pressurage starts the aging, for 2/3 in concrete tanks, and 1/3 in recent French oak barrels with batonages on fine lies only. After 10 month we do the blending, keeping only the best cuvees and best barrels, and do the bottling.
Pairs well with red meat like beef, duck and game (Hare, Dear, Wild Pork,…), cheses.

Founded in 1902, Argentina’s Bodega Catena Zapata pioneered the revival of Malbec and the discovery of extreme high-altitude terroir in the Andean foothills of Mendoza. Its crown jewel is the Adrianna Vineyard — planted at nearly 5,000 feet in the Uco Valley and often called the Grand Cru of South America.
The River parcel sits in the path of a dried-out riverbed, its stony soil coaxing out an especially aromatic, rich and luxurious Malbec — floral and exuberant, with smooth tannins and a long, lingering finish. Lovely young, but built to age for decades.
Review:
Probably the most austere among the three Adrianna Vineyard malbecs. Arresting nose already, with a touch of white pepper to the deep black and blue fruit. Huge depth and profoundness, but at the same time it is so fresh. The difference is more obvious on the palate if you compare this with the Mundus Bacillus Terrae and Fortuna Terrae bottlings. This shows the claws of the mineral tannins, which are a little less fleshy than Mundus, but with more tension. Seamless, taut and long. Drink from 2026.
