Thierry Mortet Chambolle Musigny 1er Cru Beaux Bruns is made from a single vineyard. (0.55 acre). 30 years old vines, planted on clay, limestone and flint based soils.

The wine is produced from a single vineyard (0.55 acres) planted on clay, limestone and flint based soils. It shows a dark color, ripe black fruit and pepper aromas. Long and intense flavors. Smooth tannins, good length and red fruits on the finish. An elegant wine with a delicate, beautiful structure.

Thierry Mortet Gevrey Chambertin Vigne Belle 2016

Thierry Mortet Gevrey Chambertin Vigne Belle is made from 100 percent Pinot Noir.

The wine is produced from 20 different parcels (3 hectares total). The soils are a mix of clay and silt.
The age of wines varies between 15 to 60 years.
Yield: 45 hl/ha
Production: 15,000 bottles on average.
Manual harvest with a selection of the grapes; sorting table; 100% destemming; maceration for 15 days, cold stabilization for 4-5 days; M-L.; racking twice a day. Fermentation in stainless steel tanks for 4 months.  Aging in oak barrels for 12 months (new and 1 or 2 year old barrels). Kieselguhr filtration before bottling.

Liquorice, blackberry, red fruits flavors.
Excellent with meat, game and cheeses.

Begude Bandol Rouge La Brulade 2015

"La Brulade" is the name of a select slope located at an altitude of 400 meters overlooking the Mediterranean sea between La Baie d'Amour (the town of La Ciotat) in the South and La Sainte Baume in the North. This is one of the highest parcels in the Bandol appellation.
The wine is only produced in exceptional vintages. This carefully selected blend is made of 95% Mourvedre and 5% Grenache, aged in large French oak barrels for 24 months.
The wine shows a deep purple color. It is fresh and fruity on the nose with intense garrigue aromas. Structured, elegant and well-balanced on the palate with strong tannins. Licorice, ripe black fruits, garrigue flavors and some peppery freshness on the finish.

The 35-year old grapes are grown on clay and limestone soils and are farmed organically. Yield is very low - 15hl/ha. The grapes are harvested manually.
Winemaking: Double selection, destemming, crushing before skin contact fermentation. No filtration. Aging for 24 months in French oak casks (600L).

Grilled meat (lamb, beef, boar), Mediterranean cuisine, spicy dishes.

"The inky-colored 2015 Bandol Rouge la Brulade is 95% Mourvèdre, aged two years in demi-muids. Rich, plummy and intense, it showcases the power and majesty of Mourvèdre but somehow tames the tannins to manageable proportions. It's full-bodied and dense, boasting hints of lavender, thyme and sage to go along with the dark fruit flavors. It should drink well soon and remain strong through at least 2030. - Joe Czerwinski"

The flagship 2015 Bandol Brulade is a powerful, serious Bandol that knocks it out of the park with its monster nose of dark fruits, cured meats, sandalwood, olive tapenade, and leathery characteristics. Mordoree Lirac Rouge Reine des Bois equal parts Grenache, Syrah and Mourvedre

Color : deep dark red, with blueish hints.
Aromas : highly fruity ( raspberry, billberry, blackberry ), floral (violet) and intense with a grilled touch ( coffee ).
Palate : melted and concentrated tannins, full bodied, very long fresh finish.
Ageing potential : 8 to 10 years

Review:

The 2015 Lirac La Reine des Bois continues this estate's mastery of the appellation, combining hints of vanilla with black cherry fruit in a full-bodied, richly textured and tannic wine. The blend is 40% Syrah, 30% Grenache and 30% Mourvèdre, with up to 15% being aged in barriques. Longtime readers will be happy to know that the 2010 (still youthful) and the 2006 (nearing maturity) are drinking well. Based on that, expect this vintage to drink well through at least 2030.-Wine Advocate 93 Points

Suau Cadillac Cotes de Bordeaux Rouge  is made from 70% Merlot, 20% Cabernet Sauvignon and 10% Cabernet Franc

100% French oak barrels (30% new oak) during 12 months.

Opulent, fruity and ample in mouth, this wine is attractive both with its ripe fruits aromas melted with roasted hints as well as its nice structure and elegant, pleasant finish.

Ageing Potential: 8 to 10 years

The vineyard is situated in the Cotes de Bordeaux-Cadillac appellations, and encompasses 65 hectares. The vines, planted in gravel and clay "terroir", benefit from favorable south-south east facing slopes and plateaus.

Density : 7000 feet/ha. 
Vinification : Grapes are weighted, destemmed then sorted on a table in the cellar. Fermentation in thermo regulated stainless steel tanks. Ageing from beginning of November, after malolactic fermentation, in 100% French oak barrels (30% new oak) during 12 months.

The Domaine Thierry Mortet Estate
The Domaine was officially created in 1992, when Thierry’s father retired and his estate was divided between his two sons. Thierry studied enology and viticulture in Beaune before joining his parents  and brother and working at the Domaine
Thierry uses Burgundy barrels from Rousseau et Toutan, one third new each year. Annually, the estate bottles 1,100 cases. Thierry strives for fruit and finesse in his wines. Generally his top wines age well for 10-15 years.

Thierry started in 1992 with a 4 hectare vineyard. It now measure 7 hectares (17.5 acres) and produces 85% red wine and 15% white wine. The vineyards spread over four villages: Gevrey-Chambertin, Chambolle-Musigny, Couchey and Daix (west of Dijon).
Thierry Mortet uses classic winemaking techniques: pre-fermentation maceration for 3 or 4 days, total fermentation time of 2 weeks. The grapes are harvested by hand, are sorted and are 100% de-stemmed. The result is expressive, full-bodied, generous, pure wines.

Starting with the 2010 vintage, the Estate is now certified Organic !
