Busi Chianti Rufina is made from 100% 100% Sangiovese
Fresh, fruity, with classic tart cherry.
Appearance: ruby-red in color.
Aroma: clean, floral notes.
Flavor: well structured and harmonic on the palate; easy drinking with a soft and lingering finish. Ageing potential: 10/15 years.

Producer Information: Villa Travignoli Travignoli, a name which literally means “Tra Vignoli” (between the vineyards), is located in the middle of Frescobaldi’s Nipozzano vineyard, in the heart of the Rufina zone. Aged six months in wood and six months in stainless steel. Pairs well with salamis, pastas, grilled or roasted meats, dishes flavored with mushrooms, or rosemary. Excellent with polenta dishes.
Farnio Chianti Montalbano Riserva is made from 90% Sangiovese, 5% Canaiolo and 5% Colorino.
Brilliant ruby red with plain ruby shades, fairly clear. Blackberry and violet notes emerge on the nose with spiced and vegetal tones, leading to a leathery and pencil lead finish. Elegant, pleasant, pure and intense aromas but vigorous and round. Slightly tannic and fresh, balanced and full-bodied.

Ricudda Chianti Classico Riserva 100% Sangiovese.

Salvadori Chianti Riserva DOCG 2017 is made from Sangiovese 90% , Merlot 10
Travignoli Chianti Rufina Riserva is made with 100% Sangiovese. Fermentation in stainless steel at controlled temperatures for 7 to 8 days with an additional 7 to 8 days on the skins. The wine is then racked and goes through malolactic. It is then racked again and stays another 3 months in stainless steel. Aged for 18 months in Slavonian oak barrels and 3 months in Allier barriques. Ruby red color with garnet reflections. Intense, etheral bouquet with hints of leather, tar and ripe cherry fruit. The flavor is full of mature fruit with nuances of leather and liquorice. The taste is complex and round and rich with character, The finish is persistent and satisfying. Pairs well with grilled, braised or roasted meats, dishes flavored with mushrooms, or rosemary. Excellent with polenta dishes.
The Travignoli Estate
Travignoli was founded in the 1700’s and has been operating by the Busi family since the 1800s. Grapes have been grown on the property since the 1400’s. Travignoli translated means “through the vineyards” - you must go through the vineyards to reach the main house. Travignoli is partially surrounded by the vineyards of Frescobaldi, in the heart of the Rufina zone where wine has been produced since the 15th century.
The farm also produces olive oil within the confines of the group Laudemio, which is olive oil that is extra virgin in quality, vintage date, and less than .02% acid (normal extra virgin is .05% acid).
Giovani Busi is the winemaker with the advice of internationally enologist Giacomo Tachis. The cellars date backt to the 12th century but equipped with the latest technology.
The Travignoli Vineyard
Total farm size 90 hectares (222.3 acres): 60 hectares of vines (148.2 acres), 25 hectares of olive trees. The vineyard surface is broken down as follow:
A. 50.5 ha Chianti Rufina
B. 8.0 ha Cabernet Sauvignon
C. 1.0 ha Chardonnay
D. 0.5 ha Merlot
Chianti Rufina, the smallest Chianti area, is located northeast of Florence on the sandy calcareous lower slopes of the Apennines. It is said to be "one of Tuscany's most priviliged vineyard areas where Chianti reaches heights of size and longevity rivalled only on privileged parts of Classico".
The Chianti Rufina vineyard is planted on clay, marl and calcareous soil with a large percentage of rocks stones for good drainage. The vines are an average of 10-25 years old.
Rebuli Prosecco Cartizze Grand Cru is a noble wine with a clear straw color, it exhibits pleasant and delicate fruity flavors and is a perfect match to desserts.

Coming from a single Grand Cru vineyard and 100% Glera, the NV Prosecco Cartizze offers a gorgeously pure nose of green apples, leafy herbs, and chalky minerality, and it opens up nicely with time in the glass. Beautiful balanced and medium-bodied, with high yet integrated acidity, it's a serious, balanced, impressive Prosecco that will evolve over the coming decade.

Review:
The 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon Kingly Vineyard is endowed with tremendous richness and concentration. It emerges from the best spots within Block 5, which is a bit more protected from the elements. The 2018 is a bit closed today, but it has a lot of promise. Time in the glass brings out layers of inky dark fruit and the savory, minerally notes that are such signatures. This potent Calistoga Cabernet needs time to shine, but it is impressive today just the same.

Schwarz Thiele Road Grenache is made from 80 year old 100% Grenache vines.
Thiele Road is a dusty track that crosses Bethany Creek at the foot of the Barossa Ranges. It is home to Jason Schwarz's family's 70 year old, deep rooted Grenache vines that produce wines with complex flavours and plenty of character.
Bouquet: The nose is floral and expressive with raspberry and pepper.
Palate: Red fruits, spice and earth with beautiful balance and structure. Medium weighted with fine acidity. A wine built on complexity and packed with interest.
Planted in 1941. The gnarled, old vines continue to produce fantastic fruit and the quality out of the 2014 vintage was evident. The vines are handpicked, 10% whole bunch and the remainder de-stemmed and into an open fermenter. Before too long the wild yeast population on the grapes kicks off fermentation and that continues with daily gentle pump overs and hand plunging until fermentation is complete and the flavour profile is just right. The wine is then basket pressed and matured in seasoned French oak for 18 months before bottling. Not filtered or fined.
