After more than two hundred years, the blood and fiber of the company are still united and today carried forward by the eighth generation while maintaining the history of the family’s objectives made with seriousness, commitment and love of the earth.

The Livia Fontana winery is a rare case in which business and family blend together blurring the boundaries of both, becoming an example of how the convergence of objectives makes the family united and the company successful. The winery is managed by Livia Fontana and her two sons, Michele and Lorenzo, who have been preceded by seven generations of the Fontana family. Each with their own roles brings energy, enthusiasm, competence and passion. The result is excellent wines that are appreciated throughout the world for the way in which tradition and new technologies merge in products of very high quality.

We produce a part of this cuvee with 12 hours skin maceration and another part from directly pressed grapes.

Wine was slightly filtered before bottling to insure the wine remains stable.

This wine is the perfect friend for barbecue, salads and of course aperitif. This is ideal for warm days in the garden, as well as elegant poultry dishes.

Review:

"An interesting blend of 40% Cabernet Franc, 40% Gamay, and 20% Pinot Noir, the 2019 Le Rosé offers a lighter pink/ruby hue as well as a pretty bouquet of watermelon, cherries, and white flowers. Quite elegant and complex, it has medium-bodied richness on the palate, nicely integrated acidity, and a clean, dry finish. It’s more than a simple rosé and grows on you with time in the glass. It’s going to shine on the dinner table (or with tapas) over the coming summer months." - Jeb Dunnuck (March 2020), 90 pts

Bavencoff Montagny Blanc 2017

Bavencoff Montagny Blanc is made from 100 percent Chardonnay.

A pale yellow color with discreet green reflections. On the nose, it develops delicate honey and vanilla aromas. On the palate, this wine is full-bodied, it offers a slightly oily texture typical of the great whites of Burgundy, rich and fresh flavors (vanilla, honey, golden apple, toast). The finish is long and mineral.

This wine goes perfectly with veal in sauce, scallops in butter and herbs, and most fish. Also to drink with hard mountain cheeses: Comté, Beaufort.

Riebeek Chenin Blanc 2021

Riebeek Chenin Blanc is made from 100 percent Chenin Blanc.

As the unofficial drink of the Riebeek Valley, the Riebeek Chenin Blanc is the perfect every day wine that offers uncomplicated quality for the novice and connoisseur alike.

Packed with upfront tropical fruit, the nose charms with an abundance of guava and gooseberries. The pallets follows through with fruit flavors, balanced by a crisp acid to ensure a fresh and fruity style of wine.

Grapes came from both bosstok and trellised vines with some of the vineyards as old as 46 years. Fermentation was done at lower than usual temperatures to capture the fresh fruit flavors.

Very accessible and suited to almost every occasion, the Riebeek Chenin Blanc never disappoints.

Venancio da Costa Lima Palmela Reserva 2016

Venancio da Costa Lima Palmela Reserva is made from 100% Castelao (also known as Periquita)

Intense garnet color, complex nose with touches of ripe fruit, jam and spices, full-bodied flavor and a very balanced finish.

100% Castelao (also known as "Periquita" and "Joao de Santarem". As the most widely-grown red grape variety in Portugal it is still often referred to in Portuguese as Periquita, although that name is legally owned by José Maria da Fonseca in the Setúbal Peninsula outside of Lisbon. It is highly adaptable to different climatic conditions and its remarkable versatility enables winemakers to make a range of wines – from the easy drinking and quaffable reds and rosados to the powerful and intense reds perfectly suited to lengthy cellaring. Castelão comes into its own and is most expressive in the Sétubal Peninsula, where it makes meaty and intense wines with aromas of red berries and blue flowers that marry well with the deft use of oak.

Made from 45 year old vines.

Classic vinification at controlled temperature (25 °C) with prolonged maceration for phenolic extraction. Wine went through malolactic fermentation.

Wine was slightly fitered before bottling to avoid sedimentation in the bottle and to ensure stability.

Pasta, Cheese, red meat and game.

Review:

"Truffle, rose, camphor, wild berry and botanical herb are just some of the aromas you'll find on this. Full bodied and youthfully austere, the palate has firm structure and tension, delivering dried cherry, licorice, tobacco and blood orange framed in tightly knit, close-grained tannins. Fresh acidity keeps it balanced. Drink 2023–2033. - Kerin O'KEEFE" - Wine Enthusiast Magazine (December 1st 2019), 93 pts
