Saumaize-Michelin Pouilly-Fuisse “Clos sur la Roche” is made from 100 percent Chardonnay.
Produced from the oldest parcel of the estate dating back from 1979 and planted on the slopes of the Vergisson Rock, "Clos sur la Roche" benefits from a south sun exposure. This beautiful Chardonnay offers abundant floral and white fruit aromas, toasty and buttery notes and brioche scents. Well-balanced and concentrated on the palate with a rich structure and refreshing notes of zesty lemon and mineral purity that brings a vibrant energy to the finish.
Complex aromas of soft citrus fruits and minerals. Densely packed and fresh, with intense, complex flavors of white fruit as well as a hint of spice. The finish is very firm, long but not dry.

Maison Chanzy Clos du Roy Blanc Mercurey Premier Cru is made from 100 percent Chardonnay.
Maison Chanzy was founded by Daniel Chanzy in 1974 in Bouzeron, located in the northern part of the Côte Chalonnaise region of Burgundy. In 2013, a group of Burgundy wine lovers purchased Chanzy with a group of investors and have since added a second holding in Côte Chalonnaise and Côte de Beaune for a total of 163 acres planted.
With full control of production from vineyard to bottling, Chanzy’s impressive range spans 40 appellations in 8 villages of Côte Chalonnaise and Côte d’Or. The vineyards are farmed sustainably.
Mercurey Clos du Roy 1er Cru Blanc is one of many vineyards in Burgundy carrying the name Clos du Roy thanks to the King designating his best parcels as such. The parcel sits close to the woods and is protected from the wind with excellent exposure, providing consistent ripeness. Mercurey Clos du Roy 1er Cru Blanc is aged in 100% used 228-liter barrels for 9 months prior to bottling.
White Burgundy is typified by aromas and flavors of green apple and lemon and is defined by its structure and expression of minerality. White Burgundy vinified in stainless steel tanks will emphasize its freshness while aging in French oak barrels can lend accents of toast and vanilla.

Chanzy is a leading producer in the Côte Chalonnaise with holdings in Bouzeron, Rully, Givry, and Mercurey. The winery itself is in the village of Bouzeron where it owns 16 hectares, including the monopole Clos de la Fortune which serves as the flagship wine. In the Côte d’Or, Chanzy owns an impressive collection of crus in some of Burgundy’s iconic appellations such as Puligny-Montrachet and Vosne-Romanée. Vineyards are farmed without the use of herbicides and pesticides, instead opting for organic fertilizers and occasional plowing between rows. Chanzy is in the process of obtaining Haute Valeur Environnementale (HVE) certification.
All vinification takes place in Bouzeron, where whites go immediately to press and reds are sorted on the table de tri, mostly destemmed before undergoing a cold pre-fermentation maceration for six to eight days. The long, cold maceration allows for less aggressive remontage and pigéage later in the vinification process. Fermentation occurs with selected yeast or spontaneous via pied-de-cuve, depending on the wine and vintage. Élevage varies for each wine. Wines from the basic appellations settle and ferment in tank while the crus are transferred to barrel for fermentation. Chanzy uses very little new wood and barrels range in size from the traditional 228-liter pièce mostly for our Premiers Crus and 450, 500-liter barrels to 2,500-liter foudre for our Village appellation wines. The wines receive a light fining and filtration before bottling with low amounts of sulfur oxide.

Kynsi Pinot Noir Edna Valley is made from 100 percent Pinot Noir.
The Edna Valley was one of the first registered appellations in California and boasts a rich agrarian history. The coastal terrain features varied soil types that are predominantly marine in origin, with ancient volcanic influences. The unusual transverse ranges allows the appellation to open up to the cooling breezes of the Pacific Ocean from nearby Morro Bay and Pismo Beach. The climate is strongly influenced by the ocean providing ideal, temperate growing conditions for Pinot Noir. Early spring warming, mild summer temperatures and late arriving cold fall temperatures and rain provide a long growing season for the development of rich color with concentrated and complex flavors.
Review:
Light berry and cherry aromas are fresh, crisp and inviting on the nose of this wine, which also offers light vanilla and star anise notes. There is a decent structure to the palate, where strong acidity cuts against the fruity flavors, and baking spice warms the tart finish.

Begude Bandol Rouge La Brulade is made from 95% Mourvedre and 5% Grenache.
"La Brulade" is the name of a select slope located at an altitude of 400 meters overlooking the Mediterranean sea between La Baie d'Amour (the town of La Ciotat) in the South and La Sainte Baume in the North. This is one of the highest parcels in the Bandol appellation.
The wine is only produced in exceptional vintages. This carefully selected blend is made of 95% Mourvedre and 5% Grenache, aged in large French oak barrels for 24 months.
The wine shows a deep purple color. It is fresh and fruity on the nose with intense garrigue aromas. Structured, elegant and well-balanced on the palate with strong tannins. Licorice, ripe black fruits, garrigue flavors and some peppery freshness on the finish.
The 35-year old grapes are grown on clay and limestone soils and are farmed organically. Yield is very low - 15hl/ha. The grapes are harvested manually.
Winemaking: Double selection, destemming, crushing before skin contact fermentation. No filtration. Aging for 24 months in French oak casks (600L).
Grilled meat (lamb, beef, boar), Mediterranean cuisine, spicy dishes.
