Delicious on its own, but also with Sushi or cheese. It is also an excellent base for cocktails.
The grapes are harvested at desired level of ripeness (brix).
This is the reason why Moscato d'Asti are low in alcohol and fairly sweet. Not all the sugar has been transformed into alcohol during fermentation.

Ripe berry, dark-spice and camphor aromas are front and center on this fragrant red along with a whiff of iris. Full bodied and juicy, the savory, enveloping palate delivers succulent morello cherry, crushed raspberry, licorice and hints of tobacco. Firm, velvety tannins and fresh acidity provide great structure and balance. Drink 2026–2041.

When the wine ages, it takes on notes of tobacco, rose, liquorish, and – in the best vintages – even truffle. Its finesse and elegance are due to alkalinity and calcium content in the soil.
This Barolo in youth presents scents of violet and small red fruit, balsamic tastes, and pleasant spice notes of clove, cinnamon, and nutmeg.

Xavier Vignon Cotes du Rhone Rouge Cuvee Vieilles Vignes Organic is made from 50% Grenache, 40% Mourvèdre, 5% Syrah and 5% Cinsault.
The diversity of terroirs used in this blend allows this wine to combine freshness and balance.
We used Clay and limestone plots located on the hillside where old Grenache naturally express roasted hints. We could obtain in this wine empyreumatical hints without the use of barrels. These plots particular soils and orientation allowed grapes to reach an optimal level of ripeness while conserving a good acidity level.
We also integrated grapes coming from plots located on red rocky clay soils also named “garrigues”. These big red stone are restituting heat coming from the sun at night and bring power and structure to the wine.
Also the blend features vines coming from sandy clays, which are light and rather fresh soils: this allowed the wine to maintain a freshness and vivacity.
Bouquet of cassis, blueberries, lavender, cured meats, and graphite. It's deep, rich, medium to full-bodied, and has a great finish. The Mourvèdre keeps this tight and fresh.
Pairs with grilled beef rib - Veal Columbo - Pork ribs slightly spiced
Review:
"A blend of 50% Grenache, 40% Mourvèdre and the rest Cinsault and Syrah, the 2016 Côtes du Rhône Cuvée Vieilles Vignes offers a gorgeous bouquet of cassis, blueberries, lavender, cured meats, and graphite. It's deep, rich, medium to full-bodied, and has a great finish. The Mourvèdre keeps this tight and fresh, and I suspect it will age beautifully."

Pierin Valetta was one of the anchestor of the family. Valetta was the nickname of the branch of Pierin's family. He was born in 1910 and he believed in his territory since when he was a kid. In fact, thanksfully to him, now the family can grow vineyards which are 70+ years old. Now is the fifth generation which is carry on the winery. Three brothers that are following all the works with the help of their parent
The winery is working with organic practice in Europe and they are in the process of getting their certification.
OLD VINES
The vineyards are 35-75 years old with limited yield per hectare to maximize the grape quality, the terroir and production area.
NO HERBICIDES, SOIL MANAGEMENT
Herb mowing is done manually to avoid any herbicide, sowing of 20+ different variety of herbs that help plants avoiding stress and acting as natural fertilizer in addition to “humus”.
NO PESTICIDES, INSECTS MANAGEMENT
Use of “sexual confusion” (natural method that provide the use of pheromones to avoid the reproduction of the insects without any chemical product) and hand harvest of “noctue” (worms that eat buds in spring, destroying part of the production).
HARVEST
Manual harvest of only the best fruits at the moment of the top maturity followed by an accurate selection to avoid any compromise.
NATURAL FERMENTATION WITH INDIGENOUS YEASTS
Natural starter (pie de cuve) using only yeasts that are naturally present on the skins of the berries, in order to obtain not standard wines, but products that really reflect the territory and production area bottling: cambiare sulphates con sulphates.
BOTTLING WITH THE MAXIMUM RESPECT OF THE WINE
Minimum use of sulphates and clarify only when really necessary. Red wines, generally, are bottled without any filtration in order to don’t lose any feature of the grape.

Review:
" Pleasant dried-cherry aromas, colored with nutty spice and dried leaves. Full-to medium-bodied with fine, firm and velvety tannins and a long finish of candied-cherry and chocolate. Give it a few years to meld together better. Best from 2025."

The original thought was to be a one wine brand, with a single minded vision to produce the best value-priced Cabernet Sauvignon in America. How do you go about this? Traditional winemaking. Natural fermentations. Barrel-aging. Plus, bottling unfiltered and unfined. In essence, making the wines in small batch winemaking integrity, but doing so on a larger scale. The wine is black. The label definitively says, "This is Cabernet Sauvignon." With the CS, you know who made this wine: Charles Smith. There is also the single vineyard, single expression, Bordeaux varietals (ex: Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot) produced in very limited quantities. Let's not to forget, the single vineyard Loire-style Substance Sauvignon Blanc. This is the newest chapter in the history books of Charles Smith and his wines.
Review:
The 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon Powerline Vineyard (which is all from Clone 2) is a brilliant, brilliant wine that’s loaded with ripe red, black, and blue fruit as well as notions of green herbs, tobacco, chocolate, and even hints of spiced meat. Complex and medium to full-bodied, with good acidity and a balanced, seamless mouthfeel, it’s already hard to resist yet is going to cruise of 15+ years in cold cellars. -Jeb Dunnuck 95 Points

"The same could be said for the 2018 Pinot Noir Sonoma Coast, which has a slightly fresher, more floral, raspberry-laced perfume as well as lots of pine and foresty nuances, medium to full body, a tight, vibrant texture, and a great finish. It's another beautiful wine that should evolve for 5-7 years or so."

Torbreck The Steading Red Blend is made from 53% Grenache, 28% Shiraz, 19% Mataro.
The Steading has a fragrancy, purity of fruit, mid-palate concentration and savory tannin profile that makes it an exemplary wine. Vibrant aromas of violet, star anise and spice all unfold to reveal an impressive array of underlying fruit flavors. Silky, succulent dark fruits, black olive, savory earth, licorice and Asian spice. These complex yet elegant flavours are all neatly interwoven with a perfect balance of acidity and supple, silky tannins. The Steading will continue to develop with time in the cellar, and provide those with patience great enjoyment well into the next decade.
Review:
Opaque ruby. Lush, dark berry and fruitcake scents are complemented by suggestions of candied flowers and backing spices. Sappy and focused on entry and then fleshier in the mid-palate, offering ripe blackberry, cherry and allspice flavors and a hint of cola. Closes very long and smooth, with slowly building tannins lending gentle grip.
